Liposuction

Liposuction helps to contour areas of the body where fat does not respond to diet or exercise.

During the procedure, subcutaneous fat is removed to sculpt the body’s proportions and create a more defined silhouette. Liposuction is not a weight-loss method, but rather a way to refine the body’s contours in areas that require targeted correction.

Liposuction is most commonly performed on the abdomen, waist, hips, and thighs, but can also be performed elsewhere if necessary. The results are long-lasting when supported by a stable body weight and a healthy lifestyle.

About the procedure

You are a good candidate for the procedure if you have

  • excess fat in certain areas of your body that does not go away with exercise or diet
  • the goal of gaining self-confidence and greater joy in life from your new appearance
  • the possibility of performing skin tightening to a limited extent during liposuction

Before the procedure

  • Come to the procedure with clean and moisturized skin
  • Before the procedure, the doctor will mark the incision sites and treatment areas on your skin with a marker, explain the procedure, and discuss the expected results.

Duration of the procedure

  • Liposuction lasts up to 4 hours, depending on the number of areas, and is performed under general anesthesia

Recovery

  • After the procedure, you will generally spend one night in our comfortable clinic, where our professional staff will take care of you
  • The day after surgery, the doctor will examine you and provide recommendations for wound care, reducing swelling, and pain management. The stitches will be removed 10–14 days later
  • To achieve the best results, you must wear compression garments. Initially all the time, then only during physical activity
  • We recommend taking 1–2 weeks of sick leave to recover from liposuction
  • You can resume sports 4 weeks after surgery
  • The final results are best visible approximately 3–6 months after surgery, once the body has fully recovered

Where to start?

If you are interested in liposuction, please schedule a consultation with a doctor first. During the consultation, you can discuss your wishes, concerns, and expectations, and the doctor will use their experience to determine the most suitable procedure for you. Sometimes, to achieve the best results, liposuction must be combined with the removal of excess skin.During the consultation, we will assess your health, determine the best surgical method, explain the location of scars and potential complications, and if you are a suitable candidate for surgery, we can schedule your procedure right away. Our doctors are members of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), communicate in Estonian, Russian, English, and Finnish, and view your body as a unified whole, always striving for your best interests!

Book a consultation

A consultation is the beginning of every outcome – a place where we make the first important decisions together.

During this process, you will receive a doctor’s assessment, understand your possibilities and limitations, and gain a clear overview of what kind of outcome is realistic. If necessary, this also means making a decision not to intervene, as every decision must be justified.
