Dr Merle Rohtla is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with diverse experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu and completed her residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Eastern Finland, further honing her skills at Helsinki University Hospital during her work.
On a daily basis, Dr Rohtla works as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the North Estonian Medical Centre, where her focus areas include burn treatment, breast reconstruction and symmetry correction after oncological treatment, correction of congenital asymmetries, and surgical treatment of chronic wounds and soft tissue tumors.
In addition to reconstructive surgery, she also performs aesthetic procedures, primarily in the breast and abdominal areas, with the aim of improving patients’ well-being and daily quality of life.
Dr Rohtla’s approach is characterized by thoughtfulness and balance – every decision is based on both medical necessity and the desire to achieve a natural and proportionate result. She pays great attention to ensuring that the patient understands their treatment options and feels secure and cared for throughout the entire process.
